Image Guard spray leaves ink jet prints more water resistant, and protected from airborne contamination, and fading from light exposure. The coating is archival, non-toxic, and is sprayed directly on to the image and then allowed to air dry.
Image Guard provides a protective coating to images produced using water based ink jet inks, drawing inks and watercolors. Image Guard also provides extra protection form scuffs. "Bronzing’" or "gloss differential" effects that are prevalent when using pigment inks on gloss or luster papers are avoided.
The Image Guard works well with the base media that it's applied to — gloss or luster papers still maintain a high gloss finish; matte or fine art media absorb it, leaving a flat, matte finish.
The 400ml / 13.5 fluid oz aerosol can will provide 2-3 protective coats on up to 60
8.5” x 11” images.
