Their new Stitch series of die sublimation printers feature all of HP's technical knowledge. Along with all the cutting edge features they have to offer. All aimed at relieving issues that have hindered business across the printing industry. Both in productivity and profitability.

NEW FOUND DEPTHS OF AUTOMATION

The first big addition to the Stitch is HP adding their SmartColor calibration. Allowing your printer to use the I1 spectrophotometer to distribute info across your fleet. Ensuring the best-in-class color consistency from printer to printer, faster and easier than ever before. Even with Pantone color schemes.
Another key feature of the Stitch is its mirror image print head technology. A network of two entire rows of replaceable thermal print heads. Both rows are arranged in a mirror configuration to print a mirror images of one another.
These two mirrored rows are also complemented with optical drop detection. Which is constantly searching for missing nozzles across both rows of print heads. Once it finds a nozzle missing, it's able to replace it automatically.
When combined with this mirror printing configuration, it's almost impossible to get meaningful vertical banding.
In addition, the S500 employs a brand new tension winder system. It ensures the paper travels through the take-up with a super gentle touch. Eliminating unnecessary tension letting it match the feed perfectly, and allowing you to run up to 1150 feet unattended. The highest level in the industry.
It also removes huge cockling and warping issues with its drop and dry print zone. Letting you isolate heat inside the printing zone. Preventing excessive amounts of water from being added and the resulting cockling. Which makes it especially capable of adding large image signatures to light papers up to 45 grams.
